Hello.
My name is Gary Koos and I am the owner of Park City Computer Consulting. I would like to take a minute to share with you a little about me and how I see Park City Computers role in the community we serve.
One of the most rewarding aspects of owning my own business is that I am able to work for whom I want. Prior to opening Park City Computer in 1996, I worked for and with, and held positions in, many Not-for Profit Organizations, Community based Organizations and small family owned businesses in the Greater Bridgeport Area.
I am well aware of the difficulties involved in serving the community of need in this area and how frustrating advocacy can be in a political climate such as Bridgeport's. Finances are always hard to come by and a major concern for those that live from grant to grant. Having worked in the field, I've learned first hand how the appropriate technology can assist small organizations with the day to day chores necessary to run an organization and serve it's clients and membership. I know that the latest computer technology, properly implemented, can help an organization, non-profit or business, be more efficient, save money, save staff time and thereby better serve its clients and customers.
Since opening Park City in 1996 I have assisted many of my former community friends in solving their computing problems and helping them use computer technology to make their organizations and businesses run more efficiently .While many Computer Consultants charge fees of $70.00 and higher per hour, I have tried to remain a more affordable resource for those organizations that strive to do so much for their community with so little resources.
There are many ways in which technology may be able to help your organization be more efficient. I can help you evaluate your current technology and make recommendations
Old hand me down equipment (which is what many of you must work with) can actually make your work harder and can be more expensive due to the constant need for repair and tune-ups. We build affordable new systems and can work with you on the configuration, service and pricing.
Non-profits seldom have the time or money to to send their staff to the expensive computer schools for software training. Whether you have a problem with a specific software package or function, or would like to have an in-house training for your entire staff, we can arrange the support you need in a convenient format and time that will save you both staff time and training dollars.
Directors in today's small not-for-profit or business must be a jack/jane of all trades. Managing, hiring, training, budgeting, grant writing, human resources, fundraising, community relations, marketing, the list goes on and on. Keeping up with the latest computer innovations that can help the organization is one skill that often winds up on the back burner. Corporate CEO's have mentors, as do many other professionals. I know your business and I can help you be a better manager by taking care of the computer questions and problems that come up during the day. Having someone to turn to to ask a tech question when necessary or for a private training session when an issue comes up is just one less thing to worry about and allows you to stay focused your organizations priorities.
Networking, even for a small office with only a couple of computers, can be cost effective allowing you to share printers, scanners and internet connections. This can save you money by not having to purchase additional hardware for each computer.
Today's Word Processing, Database and Spreadsheet software offer many opportunities to streamline your organization or businesses daily functions making you more efficient and saving you money.
Unlike big businesses, that have learned to protect their data the hard way, most small non-profits and businesses do not appreciate the cost in terms staff time and money of losing their data due to hackers, power or equipment failures and viruses. We can help you secure your data.
As you browse through the rest of our web site, keep in mind that many of our services may be useful to your organization or business. Call or email me and we can arrange a time for a free site visit and evaluation of your technology assets. At that time we can discuss any computing problems you're currently having and I may be able to suggest some solutions to those problems and make recommendations for additional equipment, software or procedures that will improve your organizations efficiency.
You're under no obligation beyond our free consultation. However, if you find our suggestions useful, I would be pleased to add you to our growing list of community based organizations and businesses for whom we have provided affordable technology solutions.
